What to expect

Every patient brings with them their unique health challenges. We listen, we ask probing questions – we want the details. We want to know what makes it worse, what makes it better? It helps us understand what it is you are going through. It also helps us paint the picture of your problem……and It helps us determine whether chiropractic can help you, or whether we need to refer you.

After we have taken a thorough case history, we will carry out a full chiropractic examination on you. This includes some orthopaedic and neurological tests. We will take the time to find the cause.

Your condition may require some xrays to determine the extent of your problems. We will refer you for these. We do not carry out xrays on site.

Generally we will adjust you on the first visit to start the healing process. Once we have the xrays, we will carry out more intensive adjusting to assist further with your healing process.

Report of Findings 1

Your second visit will allow us to go over your xrays with you and show you where the source of your problems could be emanating from.

Report of Findings 2

The third visit is where the chiropractor will draw up a full report for you. This allows us to assess the best line of correction for your joints in order to get the best outcome for you. We will give you our best recommendations for optimum recovery and suggest a
care plan for you.

Whilst the general consensus is that Chiropractors treat back and neck pain, chiropractic is much more than that. Chiropractors are trained in the detection and correction of aberrant spinal function and its effect on how the nervous system controls and coordinates the body. By correcting and restoring normal motion to the aberrant spinal movement this allows the body to regain optimum function, thus improving the overall health of the joints and to the rest of the body.

Aberrant spinal movement can result in common symptoms such as neck pain, shoulder pain and stiffness, headaches, migraines, lower back pain, sciatica and nerve pain to mention a few things that can make life miserable for us.
